Description
:
The Department of Commerce started a one-year full-time Post-graduate Diploma in International Marketing (PGDIM) in the year 1985-86. This programme was well received by trade and industry. The feedback received from such organisations as well as the alumni prompted the Department to introduce full time two-year Masters programme in International Business (MIB) laying special emphasis on aspects of international business operations including global marketing and international financial management. The main objective of the programme is to develop candidates suitable for entry level managerial positions in the field of international business management. The course has been designed in a manner so that the students gain an in-depth knowledge and analytical skills which will enable them to efficiently and effectively carry out various marketing and international business operations of an organisation in the emerging globally environment.

INDIAN STUDENTS Passed Bachelor's Degree examination of the University of Delhi or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto in any discipline, with minimum 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent thereto in the grading system. Candidates appearing for the final year degree examination may also apply provided they are able to produce their mark sheets before 15thOctober 2007 
FOREIGN STUDENTS
(i) Foreign students studying in Indian Universities are required to appear in the Common Entrance Test.
(ii) Foreign students, who have already qualified from Indian universities, are required to submit their latest GMAT scores failing which their applications will not be considered.
(iii) Those foreign students do not belong to either of the above categories, i.e.
(i) and (ii), are advised to submit their latest GMAT or TOEFL scores. In addition, they must obtain clearance from the Department of Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, for pursuing the above programmes at the Department of Commerce, University of Delhi.
RESERVATIONS / RELAXATIONS
1. 15% of the seats are reserved for Scheduled Caste candidates.
2. 7.5% of the Seats are reserved for Scheduled Tribe candidates.
3. 5% of the seats are reserved for Children/Widows/Wives of the officers & men of the Armed Forces including Para-Military personnel killed/disabled in action or those who died/were disabled on duty in the following manner as per University of Delhi guidelines:
i) Children/Widows/Wives of the Officers and Men of the Armed Forces including Para Military Personnel killed/disabled in action.
ii) Children/Widows/Wives of the Officers and Men of the Armed Forced including Para-Military Personnel killed/disabled on duty.
Notes:
The applicants belonging to category (ii) above will be considered only when seats remain vacant after all candidates belonging to category (i) have been considered.
In order to become eligible for above concession, children/widows of officers and jawans etc. are required to produce Entitlement Card issued by the following:
(a) Secretary, Kendriya Sainik Board, Delhi
(b) Secretary, Rajya/Zila Sainik Board
(c) Officer-in-Charge, Record Office.
(d) First Class Stipendiary Magistrate.
4. 10% of the seats over and above the sanctioned strength are reserved for Foreign Students. (subject to University approval)
5. 3% of the seats are reserved for candidates with Physical disabilities as per University of Delhi guidelines.
6. Relaxation of 5% marks in the minimum eligibility will be allowed to categories in the SC/ST/CW/PH candidates and for children/widows/wives of the officers and men of the armed forces including paramilitary personnel killed/disabled in action or those who were killed/ disabled while on duty and to candidates with physical disabilities.
Note: In all the cases the decision of the Admission Committee shall be final.

Miscellaneous Info :
A three-layered selection procedure, i.e., the written test,. the Group Discussion and the Personal Interview is followed for admission to both the programmes i.e., MIB and MHROD programmes. This is done with a view to identify and process the interpersonal skills in addition to the overall knowledge of the students.
The Written Test: Common Entrance Test is a multiple choice objective type written test of 2 hours duration. It covers English Comprehension, General Knowledge and General Awareness, Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Analysis.
Group Discussion and Interview: Only short-listed candidates on the basis of their performance in the Common Entrance Test are invited for GD and interview based on their merit in the written test.
Fees Every research student shall be required to pay the following fees:
Supervision : Rs. 20/- p.m. from the date of registration (to be paid annually)
Enrolment fee : Rs. 300/- to be paid at the time of admission by a candidate who is joining the University afresh, otherwise a special annual fee of Rs. 50/-
Library : Rs. 12/- per annum.
Library deposit : Rs. 500/-
Athletic fee : Rs. 10/- per annum
Delhi University development fee : Rs. 100/-
Additional fee students payable by foreign students : US$500/-
Registration Fee and US$ 100/- as Special Fee
