Eligibility For Admission
General Category
A candidate seeking admission to M. Com. course must have:
1.   Passed B.Com. (Hons.) degree from University of Delhi or any other University recognized equivalent there to, with at least 50% marks,  
2.   Passed B.Com. (Pass) or B.Com. Degree from University of Delhi or any other university recognized equivalent there to, with at least 55% marks.
3.   Passed B.A. (Hons.) Economics degree from University of Delhi or any other university recognized equivalent there to, with at least 50% marks.
4.  Passed B.B.S., B.B.A., B.I.F.A. and B.B.E. degree from University of Delhi or any other university recognized equivalent thereto, with at least 60% marks
Reserved Category
Admissions are made under the following reserved categories: 
a)Scheduled caste (SC)
b)Scheduled tribes (ST)
c)Other Backward Classes(OBC)
d)Physically Handicapped (PH)
e)Children/Widows/Wives of Armed Forces Personnel (CW)


1.The eligibility condition and number of seats under various Reserved Categories shall be as per the proportionate reservation as provided under University rules.
2.A separate merit list shall be drawn up for each of the Reserved Categories. 
3.The OBC status is to be determined on the basis of the Central list of OBCs notified by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment on the recommendations of the National Commission for Backward Classes available at the website of the Commission (http:/ncbc.nic.in/backwardclasses/index.html.). The documents in evidence of the OBC Non-Creamy Layer status is required from the students at the time of granting admission. 
4.Admissions under PH category are subject to medical examination by the CMO of WUS, Delhi University.
Notes
(a) The eligibility requirements for admission to M. Com. Are same for the regular and the correspondence students (SOL).
(b) If the requisite number of candidates belonging to Reserved Category is not available by the last date fixed by the University for admission to a particular course, the remaining seats will be filled from the General Category.

All the admissions to M.Com. course will be made on the basis of merit in the Admission Test to be conducted by the Department of Commerce. Each year, the Department will conduct two separate admission tests - one for the candidates desirous of pursuing the M. Com. Course as regular students at the North and South campuses, and the other for the candidates desirous of seeking admission to School of Open Learning (SOL) for pursuing M. Com. through correspondence.
Modalities Admission Test for the Regular Students
1. For the regular students, the entrance test will be held sometime towards the end of June or first week of July. The exact date for holding the admission test shall be notified by the University vide its circulars, information bulletins, press releases as well as advertisements. Students can also gather information about dates of admission tests and submission of applications from the offices of the Department of Commerce (North and South campuses).
2. There shall be a centralized entrance test and admission procedure administered from Arts Faculty (North Campus) for regular students.
3. Candidates seeking admission to M. Com. are required to register themselves at Arts Faculty (North Campus) only. They should, however, indicate their choice for the Department/ Colleges in order of preference, in the relevant column of the prescribed registration form.
4. Apart from fulfilling the minimum eligibility requirements given in the list above, candidates will have to secure at least 40% marks in the admission test to be eligible for admission.
5. Based on the performance in the admission test, separate merit lists will be prepared for the general as well as for each of the reserved categories of the students.
Admission Test for the Correspondence Students (SOL)
1. There will be a separate test conducted by the Department for M. Com. admission to School of Open Learning (SOL). The test will be held sometime in the middle of September. The exact date for holding the admission test shall be notified by the University vide its circulars, information bulletins, press releases as well as advertisements. Students can also gather information about dates of admission tests and submission of applications from the office of the SOL.
2. Candidates seeking admission to M. Com. (correspondence) are required to register themselves at SOL.
3. Apart from fulfilling the minimum eligibility requirements given in the list above, candidates will have to secure at least 40% marks in the admission test to be eligible for admission.
4. Based on the performance in the admission test, separate merit lists will be prepared for the general as well as for each of the reserved categories of the students. General Note: The admission will initially be done on a provisional basis. The students will be required to submit their mark sheets by the specified date as per the University admission notification/ bulletin after which the admissions will be confirmed subject to fulfillment of the minimum eligibility condition.
