Professor R K Singh is presently Head, Department of Commerce and Dean Faculty of Commerce and Business. An alumnus of Delhi School of Economics has worked with Shri Ram College of Commerce before join this department. He also got opportunity to have academic exposure at various international forums. Academic, with rich experience has made valuable contributions through writings for National and International journals published by Springer, Emerald, etc. in the broad domain of managing human resources with focus on effectiveness and spirituality. His publication in Springer on use of qualitative to see spirituality among adults has investigated some finer aspects of the subject. His conference paper at Qualitative Congress, USA on ‘Being and Becoming Spiritual’ had generated enough heat and gave food for thought both to qualitative and spirituality scholars at University of Illinois. He has been Editor of Business Analyst now on editorial board and reviewers’ panel of various academic journals.

In addition to a fusion of qualitative and quantitative, he has more than twenty eight years of experience not only in the field of teaching, but also corporate training, consultancy, and administration. He has held various positions of responsibility including Deputy Dean, Academic Activities and Projects of University of Delhi, Chairman, Governing Body of Bharati College, University of Delhi, member Academic Council of Mahatma Gandhi International Hindi Central University, Maharashtra and Manav Rachna University, Haryana, member Governing Body Shaheed Shukhdeve College of Business Studies. He is member of numerous Board of Studies and Courses Committee of different universities. His recent initiative Department-College Interface is gaining momentum among academic circles.

As corporate trainer Dr Singh has successfully headed various training programs in India’s leading organizations like Vedanta, Aricent Technologies, Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL), Indian Farmers Fertilizes Cooperative (IFFCO), Forest Research Institute, Defence Research Development Organization (DRDO), Punjab Police, Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA), National Hydro Power Corporation (NHPC), Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM), J K Cement Ltd, Pundit Deen Dayal Upadhyay National Academy of Social Security (PUDNASS), etc. His contributions as a trainer have been well acknowledged and appreciated. His interventions at corporate have won accolades among HR practitioners. He is recipient of ‘Best Business Academic Award’ 2007 by All India Commerce Association.
